Nice job, as a 'retreaded' River Rat and a professional mariner I know good work when I see it. Too bad you had to convert the hull, there is a guy here in Ohio that just restored one and he found the jets and Sabre engines from the US Army bridge boats adapt up very well into the PBR's
We've got a small squadron of ex-military boats here for training Sea Cadets. 3 LCM-8's and ax ex-WWII Box "L" Boat, old minefield maints boat from the coastal artillery, and a LARC-V amphib truck. We're looking to aquire an LCVP to complete our amphibious operations school/historic collection. The training we can provide the cadets can't even be secured in the active Navy anymore

I just got to go over your site and its great. You, were kind enough to give a few of us who were at Capt, Cove, for a seminar on weapons of mass distruction, a ride. We never got to thank you enough. It brought back momories for me because I was a PBR Boat Captain in Viet Nam in 1968-69 Thanks again see you soon

I assume this was the boat I saw near Stamford/Noroton in late June? Quite a surprise, but extremely well done!

I apologize for the error in my statement. The 721 was first delivered to CRD-22 at New Orleans in early 1973. It was the 7210 that was sent to CRD-11.

Great job on the boat. Too bad you couldn't put JACUZZI pumps on it. Hate to break your bubble though, the 721 boat was built in 1972 and assigned to Coastal River Division ELEVEN at Mare Island in 1973, along with my boat the 723 - and sent to the Panama Canal Zone in 1978 or 79.
